We firmly believe and are committed to the important role that the local church plays in helping us all to connect with the Lord Jesus Christ. As such, we attempt, through the leadership and power of the Holy Spirit, to connect people with God in every service. Oak Hill was formed in 1910 and has endeavored for some 99 years to faithfully proclaim the truth of God's Word. Next year, 2010, will mark our 100th anniversary and we give glory to God for allowing this church to remain and minister to the people of the Oak Hill community, the Many area, Sabine Parish, Louisiana, and the uttermost parts of the earth.

This year, 2009, our emphasis is on discipleship. Our vision statement for this year includes the command of Scripture from Matthew 28:19, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations." We believe that begins with us. Thus, it is our goal to make disciples here in Sabine Parish, Louisiana, the United States, and beyond. To do that, we must come to an understanding of Jesus' teaching in Luke 9:23, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." In 2009, we plan to concentrate of the classic spiritual disciplines both inward and outward. We also plan to implement a mentoring program to assist in the discipleship process. The continuing goal of our vision for Oak Hill is found in Colossians 1:28, "And we proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we may present every man complete in Christ."

Whether you live in the Many, LA area or are just passing through, please know that there is a place here at Oak Hill for you to worship with us. If you are looking for a local church where you can plug in and use your gifts for the expansion of God's kingdom, we would be honored if you would consider us.

Perhaps you are visiting the beautiful Toledo Bend Lake, we invite you to come to any of our services. Oak Hill is located off Highway 6 west of Many, LA. Coming from Many, you would proceed west on Hwy 6 approximately five miles and look for the church sign on the left hand side of the road. Turn left on Oak Hill Road and the church is located one mile on the right. Coming from the Toledo Bend Lake, you would travel Hwy 6 east. Oak Hill road is approximately thirteen miles from the lake. At the church sign on Hwy 6, turn right onto Oak Hill Road, travel one mile and the church will be on your right.
